WATCH: Construction workers unearth massive trapped bear
The moment construction workers in Turkey were confronted by an aggravated bear during excavation works has been caught on camera.
The bear reportedly dropped into a cesspit at a nearby chicken farm to eat dead chickens, but was unable to pull itself out.
The construction workers can be seen using an excavator to remove large chunks of earth in order to free the trapped animal.
Suddenly a single paw emerges from a small hole.
As the hole grows larger, more of the creature is visible.
At first glance it appears to be a dog or something smaller, but eventually it becomes clear that it is a seriously angry bear.
As it desperately pulls itself out of the hole, the freed animal took a couple of swings at the excavator that rescued it before making a sudden bolt for the hills.
Social media users were quick to point out what a traumatising experience it was for the trapped bear.
"Fell into a cesspit and fought a murderous robot claw. What'd you do today?" One Reddit user commented.
