Stephanie Scott's father to be farewelled at same venue where her funeral was held

Stephanie Scott's father is to be farewelled at the same venue where her funeral was held and where she was due to be married days before she was tragically killed.

Robert Scott, a retired teacher, was killed when a tree fell on him while he was clearing land on his family's farm near Canowindra in the NSW central west.

His body was found at their Namami Road property at about 12pm on November 1.

Mr Scott's death was a horrific second tragedy for the family and came 18 months after his school teacher daughter was raped and murdered by Vincent Stanford.

Three weeks before his death, the 59-year-old father watched Stanford sentenced to life in jail in a court in Griffith.

Mr Scott will be farewelled on Wednesday at a funeral service at Eat Your Greens, located in Eugowra, Mail Online reported.

It is the same venue where Ms Scott was due to be married before she was tragically killed and the same place her funeral was held in April 2015.

Mr Scott has been remembered as a true gentleman who made an enormous impact.

"Not only was he a great teacher and man, he was more of a mate," Jordi Bailey Brown posted on Facebook in tribute to Mr Scott.

"A man who was stern but so gentle in the same way, treated everyone equally and always went out of his way to support others in what dreams they were chasing or just little things they wanted to achieve."

Students also paid tribute to their former teacher and one student, Natika Ann, recalled his dad jokes.

“You always had the lamest jokes that actually made us all laugh with how silly they were,” she wrote on social media.

“You taught us right from wrong. You took everyone under your wing, and made us all a better person. You made high school enjoyable even for those of us who struggled badly.

“Every time we would see you, you’d always be smiling ear to ear.”

Another former student described Mr Scott as a beautiful soul and recalled how he “built up a lot of kids that had lost their way”.

“Mr Scott was my teacher for industrial arts many years ago. This is terribly sad. I'm sorry for what this family has had to endure. RIP Mr Scott and my thoughts are with the rest of his family,” one person wrote.

“My heart is breaking for this family and I don’t even know them... At least father and daughter are together now if that's any comfort to the Scott family,” another said.

“Oh my god this poor family seriously... How much they have had to go through over these last 18 or so months and now this... My heart breaks... I cannot imagine what his wife and family are going through right now... RIP,” another tribute read.

On Easter Sunday in 2015, Stephanie Scott was stabbed to death in a storeroom at the high school where she worked in the rural NSW town of Leeton.

She was due to marry to her childhood sweetheart Aaron Leeson-Woolley six days later.

On October 13, Stanford was sentenced to 15 years in jail for aggravated sexual assault, as well as a life sentence for murder.
