‘Call me crazy’: Salim Mehajer posts happy snaps from the Greek Islands
Australia’s most controversial former councillor Salim Mehajer has shared snaps and videos from a lavish holiday on the Greek Islands.
The former Auburn deputy mayor has taken to Instagram to post a series of modeling-style pictures while on the luxury European vacation.
In September, Mehajer hinted he’s seeking a change of scenery, declaring in an Instagram post that he was saying “goodbye” to Australia in order to pursue his “dream challenges”.
He has now made several posts from the Greek Islands in the past few days.
Complete with zany outfits and sultry looks into the distance, Mehajer showcased his extravagant lifestyle with expensive accessories and clothes in the posts.
The 30-year-old is seen pictured in a sophisticated blue suit in some pictures, while elsewhere he showed off a unique jumper with a busy playing cards pattern.
Tagging himself on the Greek island of Santorini, Mehajer might be contemplating a busy year, which has included the breakdown of his marriage to wife Aysha.
“Take time to do things that make your soul happy,” he states in one post accompanied with a Greek flag emoji.
However, Mehajer’s holiday posts also included several with a laptop, with Mehajer stating in one post: “Call me crazy! I simply cannot switch my mind off work. Some people have an "on" and "off" switch connected to their mind whilst some constantly remain in Auto Pilot. Well that's definitely me.”

In another post where Mehajer is on his laptop, he makes the comment: “Real Men don't neglect Prayer & Work over pleasure.”
In a further post, Mehajer states: “Being on top of the world doesn't mean anything unless you know what it feels like to be at the bottom.”
