Sydney University students 'sl-t shamed' in demeaning 'Rackweb' journal

Female students at Sydney University say they are shocked and humiliated after a journal dubbed women "hoes" and "b-----s", shaming young women for the number of men they have allegedly slept with.

The 2014 journal was reportedly produced by Sydney University’s Wesley College residents and includes a section named "The Rackweb", which includes a map revealing alleged “hook-ups,” Pulp media reports.

The people responsible for the student-funded publication have been slammed for awarding women with having the “Best A--, being the “Biggest Pornstar” or “Kinkiest Collegian.”

The journal also reportedly names women based on their “willingness to put out for their seniors” and for “enabling all the hook-ups a sleazy, p---- hungry adolescent could dream of".

One section reads: “We might be sexist, but you lovely b-----s and hoes should know we’re trying to correct this”.

But the most demeaning title of the 2014 Wesley College Journal is dubbed “Mrs RackWeb”, which is given to the woman who has allegedly slept with the most men.

A female student who has been shamed by the journal told Pulp it has ruined her life and said it has “stripped her of all self worth.”

She claims all women at the university are labelled as “a sl-t” and men are deemed to be “kings.”

The young woman also believes it was a guy who wrote the journal because “it’s just so misogynistic and so inappropriate.”

“They think I'm exaggerating and my disenchantment has no substance. But it's worse than people could ever imagine,” she said.

The Master of Wesley College, Lisa Sutherland released a statement to Fairfax saying the college has no involvement in the content, production or distribution of the publication.

"The college does not endorse the contents of the student journal and has zero tolerance to any anti-social behaviour at the college," Ms Sutherland adding the he journal will no longer be published.

“There will instead be a Wesley College Students Club Yearbook that will not contain any material outside the academic, cultural and sporting pursuits of the students."
