Man's unusual reaction to coming face-to-face with massive bear goes viral

A man’s unexpected reaction to coming face-to-face with a massive wild bear has gone viral.

Footage shows the man spotting the huge bear from a distance, about 100 metres away from him.

Instead of making a run for it the man begins to scream and shout at the animal.

The man tells the bear ‘noooooooooooo’, in an aggressive voice before telling the bear to ‘f*** off’.

His attempts to scare the bear off clearly didn’t work and a voice can be heard in the background asking if he had a rock to throw.

The tense footage was reportedly filmed near the McKinley River in Alaska before being shared on YouTube.

The man considered himself lucky to escape the confrontation unharmed.

It’s believed the bear was approaching to investigate.

The man told local media his ‘technique’ in scaring bears off had worked with every other ‘bear encounter’ he had had in the past.

He said his intention was to appear as a threat or a difficult meal.

It’s unclear how many times the man has come across bears before.

One commenter claimed the man ‘hurt’ the bear’s feelings.

“He just wanted to say hello,” the poster claimed.
