Monstrous anaconda takes a nap on man’s balcony
A Brazilian man was left shocked after he stepped out to his balcony to find an anaconda curled up in the corner, having a snooze.
But what’s more absurd is what the man does next.
In a video posted to Facebook humour page Doidos e Varridos, the man reaches out with his tattooed arm and rests his hand on the giant reptile’s scaly body for a few seconds.
Then he attempts to pat it.
It’s no surprise the reptile is not happy about being disturbed from its slumber, and lashes out at the man.
Fortunately, the man is fast enough to pull away and retreat before being bitten.
The green anaconda is one of the longest snakes in the world and can grow up to nine metres long, according to National Geographic. It’s also the heaviest snake species.
The reptile uses constriction to kill its prey, as its bite is not venomous.
The video has been shared almost 95,000 times since being posted on Sunday.
