CCTV captures child falling two floors
A mother’s worst nightmare has been caught on tape. CCTV footage shows a child slipping out of her aunt’s grip and falling two floors.
The five-year-old plummeted over the side of an escalator in a shopping centre in Russia.
The footage shows the child playing next to the escalator while her aunt stands merely metres away speaking on her mobile phone.
The CCTV footage shows the child getting pulled forward into the escalator belt, causing her aunt to lunge forward and scrambling to gain a grip on her.
As the escalator moves forward, the aunt’s grip fails and the young girl falls two floors below.
The woman reportedly fainted afterwards due to the shock of the incident.
The young girl reportedly only suffered minor cuts and bruises. She is expected to make a full recovery.
