Once party menace Corey Worthington features in new commercial

Corey Worthington has appeared in a commercial apologising to his father almost a decade after throwing a house party that made national headlines.

In 2008, Mr Worthington became an overnight sensation Aussies either loved or loathed following a disruptive suburban party he was unrepentant for.

The now 24-year-old tongue-in-cheek references the bash in a Red Balloon television advertisement, which promotes the online company that specialises in adventure activities.

"When I was 16, I threw the best party Australia had ever heard of," Worthington says in the ad.

"The next day I was famous. But there was one guy who wasn't so impressed: My old man."

The promotion, which Mr Worthington’s dad happily features in, coincides with father’s day.
