New shock comedy 'Sin City Saints' can't miss: Sydney Kings

The Sydney Kings challenged their fans to shoot some hoops in Sydney’s Martin Place to celebrate the release of a new exclusive comedy on PLUS7.

In its first release outside the US, the sexy, new comedy Sin City Saints launched on the premium subscription service today with all eight episodes there to watch.

To celebrate the launch, Kings captain Tom Garlepp and recent recruit Stevie Markovic squared off against workers on their lunch breaks who took their chances to win $1000 if they scored a half-court shot.

While only a few shots went through the net, Kings captain Garlepp was excited about the Sin City Saints release, calling it a “can’t miss”.

“You put a basketball team or any sport in Las Vegas and I think that’s entertaining without sport but you throw something in there that everyone enjoys like basketball it’s gonna be pretty good,” he said.

As much as he would like to some teams calling Las Vegas home, the 29-year-old said he “can’t see it happening” because “there might be a couple of distractions about”.

No doubt Sin City Saints will show us exactly what those are.

Cora Spear, PLUS7’s head of TV and global content, said those who are looking for some distraction can binge away on all eight episodes of Sin City Saints which landed toady.

“It’s a little bit wrong, a little bit naughty but lots of fun,” she said, adding its highlights were: “Sex, cheerleaders, rock n’ roll, bored billionaires- Tom Arnold – what more could you want?”

Sin City Saints is one of two Yahoo Original series available in Australia today, world first releases outside of the US.

Other Space also launched, an off-beat comedy from Paul Feig (the producer behind Bridesmadies and Spy), about a team of young and inexperienced workers on a space cruiser which Spear described as “Star Trek meets The Office”.
