IS beheader 'Jihadi John' located in Syria

IS beheader 'Jihadi John' has been reportedtly spotted in Syria.

American-built drones used in Syria have reportedly spotted infamous IS beheader known 'Jihadi John'.

A group of IS hostages wearing orange jumpsuits were also located by the drones operated by British special forces near the town of Raqqa.

Despite the finding, high British military officials have not allowed 'kill or capture' mission in fear it would end in disaster because the militant forces are too strong, reported Daily Mail.

"Right now, a raid would be suicidal," a source said.

Officials have opted for a bombing assault lasting several weeks before a raid takes place.

Also known as 'John the Beatle', the Islamic State militant is thought to have been executioner in several beheadings including the killing of US journalist James Foley.

FBI chief James Comey told US 60 Minutes that about 12 Americans are in Syria fighting with IS.

He added that officials are confident they know all the alleged defectors' names.

When asked how the fighters can be stopped from returning to the US, he said: “An American citizen, unless their passport's revoked, is entitled to come back.

"So someone who's fought with IS, with American passport wants to come back, we will track them very carefully."

British authorities are presently on high alert after fears lone jihadis would respond to calls by IS to launch attacks, reported Times of London.
