Woman seeks revenge by posting photos of phone thief online

A British traveler who had her mobile phone stolen while on holiday in Ibiza has had the last laugh after receiving photos of the thief and posting them online.

The unnamed woman started a blog called "Life of a stranger who stole my phone" when, unbeknownst to the 'thief', photos he was taking on the stolen phone were automatically syncing to her computer.

The woman was able to confirm the man in the photos was in fact the culprit after he used the handset to enter her Facebook account and contact her from his own profile, revealing his name.

The woman's blog, which has gone viral since it began over a month ago, describes itself as "the inspiring story of Hafid from Dubai, the douchebag who stole my phone."

"He forgot to switch off the camera upload function, that's why we will enjoy a deep insight into his life," the woman wrote.

According to posts on the blog, the phone was snatched when the woman and her friends stripped off their clothes and went swimming one evening in Ibiza.

"We found ourselves hopelessly drunk and naked in the sea. We put our stuff on a deck chair 10m away"

"When I ran back to the deck chair to get rid of my underpants, I noticed someone lying stiffly under the chair, not moving, not reacting."

The woman reportedly assumed the man under the chair was her friend, so ran back to the water to swim.

When the group emerged from the water, everything had been stolen.

"We tumbled out of the water quite irritated. Everything was gone. Money, purses, smartphones, passports, birthday presents and clothes," she wrote.

Pictures of Hafid posted on the woman's blog depict him in Dubai, at the beach and outside a mosque with friends.
