Fairbrother says trust is the key

Western Force prop Tim Fairbrother is confident his side can kick-start their Super 14 season on Sunday after three losses, but says they must trust themselves.

The Force will take on a Queensland Reds team brimming with confidence after a surprise 23-18 win over the Chiefs in Hamilton.

Fairbrother, who joined the Force from the Hurricanes this season, said they had spent time studying their 37-19 round-three loss to the Chiefs and trained well in the bye week.

"We had a good review of the game and there were a few areas that we need to brush up on," he said.

"Primarily we missed some tackles at the wrong time.

"We can't blame anyone but ourselves. We've got to trust the game plan.

"We've just got to get into it and get a win, trust our patterns, trust our game plan.

"It was important just to regather as a group so we can get things rolling again.

"We had a couple of really good trainings last week. We've got to trust in what we're doing."

The Force play the Reds at Suncorp Stadium.
