Three people are understood to have been rescued from a fishing boat on fire of Fremantle.
The fire started in the boat’s engine room about 11.30am as it travelled through Gage Roads anchorage.
Water Police are on the scene and are believed to be taking the crew back to shore.
The boat was approximately five nautical miles off shore at the time of the fire.
Fremantle fire and rescue service are waiting on shore to assist.
