Car crashes into Maddington home

Police are inquiring into whether a car that crashed into a home in Maddington overnight was stolen.

Officers were called to a home in Attfield Street where a Nissan Skyline coupe had driven into a house causing extensive damage.

There were no injuries to the occupants of the house and the driver of the car had fled the scene.

The SES was called to help remove the vehicle from the house.

Police inquiries eventually located the alleged driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old Thornlie man.

He had suffered minor injuries to his face and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The registered owner of the vehicle has told police the car was taken without his consent from a workshop in Cannington earlier in the night.
