Taser disguised as torch in alleged haul

A Gosnells man and woman have been charged after police allegedly discovered illegal items during a vehicle stop.

Around 10pm last night, Gosnells police were patrolling and stopped a vehicle on Wharton Road in Thornlie.

After searching the vehicle, police allegedly discovered approximated 30 grams of a powder believed to be methylamphetamine, a taser which was disguised as a torch, and a sum of cash.

A 43-year-old man will appear in Armadale court later today, charged with possessing methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply and possessing unlawfully obtained property.

A 30-year-old woman will also appear in court today on the same charges as well as charges relating to carrying a prohibited weapon.
