Groundskeeper in court for affair with 13 yo

A victim has told a court her sexual relationship with her school's groundskeeper when she was 13, 'robbed her of her future'.

The then groundskeeper for Parafield Gardens High School began a 4 year sexual relationship with the girl until she was 17.

The groundskeeper, 46-year-old Andrew Janoska was sacked in 2001 when the sexual relationship was brought to the attention of the school and authorities.

Today, Janoska appeared in Adelaide's District Court, where the Judge said he had looked over the evidence, much of which was from the girl's diaries, SMS text messages and from school documents.

Judge David Smith said after looking over the evidence Janoskas's nine counts of unlawful sexual intercourse appeared to be 'just the tip of the iceberg'.

He also said the evidence shows the Janoska had a 'turbulent, sexual relationship' with the young school girl, and that the documents detailed a 'multitude of sex acts' and that the school girl lived with him 'from time to time, at various locations'.

The victim, now in her early twenties read out a statement to the court, revealing that she had to change schools because of rumours and teasing about her relationship with Janoska.

She finally left school before finishing and was unable to follow her career goal of becoming a police officer.

"I take medication every day," she said, " I'm emotionally fragile... I didn't experience being a teenager, Andrew took that away from me."

"Being a father yourself, you should have known better,"

"I was a normal teen," she said, "you robbed me of my future, my confidence and my career."

Janoska was remanded in custody and will appear in court next month for sentencing.
