Light air craft crashes near Tailem Bend
A light air craft has crashed near Tailem Bend in South Australia's Murray Mallee region.
Emergency services were called to a paddock at Elwomple on the Mallee Highway, about 120 kilometres south east of Adelaide, just after 8am.
UPDATE: There was one male inside the light aircraft when it crashed in a paddock off the Mallee Hwy. His condition unknown @7NewsAdelaide

A 46-year-old man from Elwomple who was flying the plane has been airlifted to the Flinders Medical Centre with serious facial injuries. They are not believed to be life threatening.
The pilot was conscious when treated by paramedics at the scene.
The aircraft is believed to have taken off from a property at Elwomple.
Major Crash investigators, along with Civil Aviation Service Authority staff, are at the scene to investigate.
