Car raffle has Spark for Rhonda
One Goldfields woman is off to a fantastic start to spring after being announced the winner of the Boulder Rotary Radio Auction car raffle.
Rhonda Murphy is now the proud owner of a new Moroccan blue 2011 Holden Barina Spark CDX.After buying three raffle tickets at a price of $10, Ms Murphy is pleased with the profit she made.
The Barina was handed over to Ms Murphy at midday yesterday by Golden City Motors sales manager Craig Hicks. Ms Murphy said she found out she was the winner over the radio last Sunday.
“I was very excited, I couldn’t believe I had won. I have to thank the Boulder Rotary Club, they do such a great job,” Ms Murphy said. “I love the whole car, I love the colour, I love everything about the little sporty car, it’s wonderful.”
Ms Murphy comes from a family of Holden enthusiasts, owning a Holden Commodore herself and her son a Holden Crewman, both of which were bought from Golden City Motors.
The Boulder Rotary Clubbought the Barina Spark from Golden City Motors for the raffle, with all proceeds staying in the Goldfields.
