Teen 'fight club' posted on internet

This is the shocking footage filmed at a suburban 'fight club' and posted on YouTube.

According to The Manly Daily, the footage was filmed in the northern beaches suburb of Mona Vale.

The video shows teenagers taking turns to punch each other while being encouraged by hordes of cheering youths.

At some point, some boys say they want to stop fighting, but are urged to keep going.

“Dude, he’s like my best friend,” one fighter says in the footage.

Another of the teens replies: “Who cares? He’s a pussy.”

Although the boys are wearing gloves when they fight, director of emergency medicine at Manly Hospital Dr Michele Franks, said that the teens were still prone to serious injury

“Possible outcomes include a major head injury, such as bleeding on the brain, or skull and facial bone fractures," she said.

“Such conditions will not necessarily be immediately apparent. A severe head injury can have a delayed but then rapid onset, and may have tragic consequences.”

According to police, another area of concern in the video was underage teenagers drinking alcohol.

Northern Beaches crime manager Insp Craig Wonders said, “A stronger police presence will be assigned to the park to prevent any future incidents. Anyone who witnesses this type of behaviour is urged to call the police.”
