'Just disgusted': Disabled driver's car vandalised for double parking

Christmas shopping brings out the worst in a lot of people, but one unimpressed shopper overstepped the mark when they vandalised a disabled person’s car.

A black Hyundai, fitted with the relevant disability tags and wheelchair access, was doubled parked in a Perth shopping centre prompting one infuriated driver to stack a number of trolleys alongside the drivers door and leave a note calling the owner of the car an “a**hole”.

"They'd obviously taken a lot of time to do that for something so ridiculous… I was just disgusted by it," a witness, Alex, told WA today after noticing the shocking incident.

"I really hope the person who did it gets caught because they've damaged a person's car, and even if the person did park like that and they didn't have an ACROD sticker, you don't vandalise someone's property."

A spokeswoman for the Garden City shopping centre said they were aware of the incident and had noted down the car’s number plates but was yet to be contacted by the Hyundai’s owner.

"It's sad that it was taken that far... (the vehicle) had a wheelchair facility inside the car and had the ACROD sticker," the spokeswoman said.

The Hyundai owner will not be fined for double parking.
