Man left unconscious on the ground, police hunt attackers

ACT police are hunting three men who left a man lying unconscious on the ground after a cowardly gang beating.

It is alleged the men fled on foot after the victim was hit in the back of the head and knocked unconscious on October 30 following a savage gang attack.

The assault happened in Bible Lane in Civic, next to Academy.

In video released by ACT Police, the victim in seen surrounded by a group of 12 males as a fight breaks out.

The man is hit, pulled to the ground and attacked by a number of men.

One of the men grabbed the victim while a second man threw several undefended punches.

It is during the beating that a man comes flying in from behind, hitting the victim as he faces the other direction, dropping his unconscious body to ground.

The victim suffered facial injuries in the attack and underwent emergency surgery on his broken jaw.

Police have released CCTV vision of the attack, in the hope someone can identify the men involved.

The man who threw the brutal punch was wearing a green pin-striped long-sleeved shirt, dark pants and brown shoes.

A second man was wearing a white, long-sleeved shirt and dark trousers.

The third man was wearing a pink shirt, dark trousers and a blue baseball cap.
