A snorkeller has tragically died off the coast of Queensland.
The 30-year-old Pakistani national was winched to back to Cairns by the region’s rescue helicopter.
A rescue helicopter spokesman said it was deployed to waters near Sudbury Reef this afternoon.
The man’s body was located at the scene.
A police spokesman said the man was last seen at Briggs Reef about 12.30pm.
His body was found at 4.20pm.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
