Historical abuse probe launched in ACT

Victims of historical sexual abuse at ACT institutions are being urged to come forward.

Police Operation Attest has been launched to investigate abuse allegations and prosecute offences committed at institutions between 1951 and 1985.

ACT Policing has called for victims to report offences and pursue criminal charges.

Some victims might have been as young as 11 or 12 when the offences occurred, it said in a statement.
