Total fire bans remain in parts of SA

Total fire bans will remain in place in parts of South Australia, despite a forecast cool change.

Severe fire danger is forecast on Friday in the northwest pastoral, northeast pastoral and Flinders districts.

A 24-hour total fire ban will apply in those districts from midnight on Thursday.

People in affected areas should prepare bushfire survival plans, the Country Fire Service says.

The temperature is forecast to drop to 22C in Adelaide, after peaking at 38.8C on Thursday.
