Qld man, woman charged over car-jackings
A man and woman will face court charged with more than 50 offences following a series of Brisbane car-jackings.
The pair have been arrested after allegedly forcing two drivers from their vehicles on the same day and attempting to eject a third.
Police say they sped away in stolen cars after targeting a 27-year-old woman at Chermside and a 70-year-old woman at Toowong last Thursday.
In a third incident that afternoon they were challenged by the owner and fled on foot.
The 25-year-old Beenleigh man has been charged with 26 offences including unlawfully entering motor vehicles, attempting to do so, and stealing.
The 23-year-old Alexandra Hills woman has been charged with 28 similar offences.
They are both due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
