Vic woman hit by car dies

A woman has died after being hit by a car in outer Melbourne.

The Frankston North woman, 60, was crossing a road at Frankston just before 9am (AEST) on Thursday last week when she was hit by a Holden ute.

She died in The Alfred hospital on Saturday.

Police are interviewing the driver, a 23-year-old Bonbeach man, as part of their investigation.

The fatality brings Victoria's provisional 2014 road toll to 189.
