Brazen Adelaide Hills hotel thieves caught on security video

Brazen thieves have been caught on security cameras breaking into an Adelaide Hills pub and making off with bottles of liquor.

The new owners of the Royal Oak Hotel at Clarenden are appealing for help to catch the three heartless thieves who smashed their way into the pub at about 3am on Monday.

While they are insured, it is a cruel blow for the Harvey family who took over the pub only three months ago.

“You see them jumping into the bar, going through the cupboards, and then physically taking the alcohol off the shelves and running back out again,” pub owner Hayley Harvey told 7News.

They escaped with about 20 bottles of spirits and cash.

The thieves were so brazen they broke into the hotel while two guests were sleeping upstairs.

One of the suspects even seems to be aware of the cameras and pulled his beanie down to cover his face.

The Harveys are hoping someone will recognize the men and dob them in.

“Hopefully somebody might work with them or might even be a family member,” Hayley said.

“Call the police, come and call us and we can contact the police.”
