Another twist in Crows reserves plan

7News understands the amateur league have insisted on the Adelaide Football Club committing to its competition for at least three years, not just next season.

The Crows have made it clear having a reserves side in the amateur league is not their preferred option, but it might be a situation they are stuck with longer than they first expected.

The club’s bid to get their seconds side in the SANFL remains on shaky ground while they continue to insist on unanimous support from the local clubs.

“It’s very emotive of course, we would hope within the next week or so our clubs would be in the position to reconvene and put their views on the table,” SANFL Executive Commissioner Leigh Whicker said.
