A man threatened staff with a knife and an iron bar in a take-away shop robbery in Adelaide’s north east last night.

Police said the man was wearing a balaclava when he entered the Valley View chicken shop on Grand Junction Rd at about 7.15pm yesterday and threatened staff.

He stole cash and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a thin man, about 184cm, and was wearing a dark blue jacket with stripes down the sleeves, and grey track pants.

Meanwhile, police are also on the hunt for a red Ford Falcon sedan with no registration plates used to flee a service station robbery at Fulham Gardens this morning.

Police said the man was wearing a hooded top when he tried to grab money from the till of a service station on Grange Rd at about 7am.

The cashier wrestled with the suspect, who fled with several packets of cigarettes in the red AU model Ford Falcon driven by another man.

The suspect is described as a man of Aboriginal appearance, about 20 years old, wearing a black hooded top and black pants.
