'Candyman' wins lawsuit against former nanny

Divisive Queensland tycoon Travers Beynon has won fewer damages than he sought with a judge referencing his exploitative character in a hearing.

Mr Beynon sought $100,000 from his former nanny, Michelle Manthey, who in a teary television interview earlier this year remarked that the father of four had taken photos of his naked wife, covered in sushi, in front of his children.

Mr Beynon, known as the 'Candyman’ for his outlandish parties, won $25,000.

However, Judge Paul Smith said he could have claimed more had it not been for his reputation of posting “bare-breasted” and “barely clad” pictures of women online.

The overt identity was slammed recently for his link to a picture that showed his wife, Taesha, being walked on a leash, like a dog.

Mr Beynon has a cult following on Instagram and regularly posts photos of his lavish lifestyle, including extravagant house parties and extensive car collection.
