Shortest man meets tallest man

The world's shortest and tallest men have met for the first time.

Chinese man He Pingping, 21, is only 74cm tall and suffers from a bone deformity.

He is almost three-and-a-half times smaller than Turkish man Sultan Kosen, who stands 2.46m.

Sultan also holds the records for the world's largest hands and feet.

Kosen's growth as a child was normal until he was diagnosed with pituitary gigantism after the discovery of a tumour behind his eyes.

The men were invited to a celebration of world records in Turkey.

"I've wanted to meet Pingping ever since I was awarded the title tallest man," Kosen said.

"I'm really happy that he was willing to travel to Turkey so we could both take part in the launch celebration of Guinness World Records Live.

"I can't wait to show him around our beautiful city."
