Heart warrior: Teen dances with nurses just days after transplant

A teenager who has spent most of his life fighting a heart defect was dancing for joy, literally, just days after receiving a new heart.

Amari Hall, 16, was filmed dancing with his nurses at a Baltimore hospital, despite his body still having a tough battle to deal with.

He remains on several medications to prevent his body from rejecting the heart.

The teen was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome soon after birth and underwent several open-heart surgeries in his early years.

Amari Hall was a very happy young man with his new heart.

In the latest surgery – his fifth – doctors gave Mr Hall a new heart.

His aunt told FOX 5 she posted the footage of the joyous dance online because she wanted to promote organ donation and “show the world that Amari is truly a heart warrior’.
