Teen girl angelically sings Hallelujah into well

A US teenager who sang into an Italian well is learning that wishes can come true, now that video of the moment has gone viral.

Tiffany Ruan was on a trip with her school’s singing group, when they stopped by a wishing well in Spoleto, Italy.

The 17-year-old, who also goes by Tiffany Day, got a friend to record her singing Leonard Cohen’s much-covered classic “Hallelujah.”

“I looked over and saw my choir teacher with a group of students singing into [the well],” Ruan told the Wichita Eagle via Twitter.

“I thought it was really cool, so I went over to record a video.”

The 48-second clip shows the girl from Wichita her with sunglasses perched atop her head, leaning over the well, which is covered in a metal grid.

Her voice is strong and clear as it’s beautifully reverberated back to her.

Tiffany took to Twitter to express gratitude for all the attention that’s come her way, along with a promise to keep up the good work.

“I’m overwhelmed guys what’s happening.” She wrote. “Y’all are so sweet I promise I’ll keep posting more singing videos!”

The Grade 11 student has since posted a video of her singing the song in its entirety on her YouTube channel.
