Donald Trump impersonator paid $60k a month

There is $60,000 a month to be made if you're a celebrity impersonator, especially if that person just won the US election.

John Di Domenico has been impersonating Donald Trump for 12 years, but ever since the real estate tycoon became the GOP frontrunner, his business has been booming.

It takes the impressionist over an hour to get ready and he says “the most important thing" is the custom $4,000 wig.

Then comes makeup to get the perfect Trump glow, followed by a signature red Trump tie and American flag pin.

Di Domenico told Sunrise he met the real Trump at his 55th birthday party 15 years ago while he was impersonating Austin Powers.

The impressionist said the hardest thing about impersonating Trump is the up-and-down tone in his voice.

“He’s all over the place,” Di Domenico said.

“I have tried to figure out the rules of how he speaks."
