'Jackass' cabbie stuck on stairs after Gold Coast wrong turn
A Gold Coast taxi driver has declared himself a jackass after being towed out of a very embarrassing spot.
Ahsanul Hauque was not paying attention as he left a Broadbeach high rise, and ended up driving part way down a set of stairs.
He tried to stop but couldn't, leaving his cab with its back wheels in the air.
“I’m on TV and everywhere and everyone will think I’m a jackass,” he said.
“I am a jackass.”
The end it was the taxi that needed a lift or, rather, a tow.
The cab was dragged down three steps and onto a truck.
