Dump truck takes out four cars as it ploughs through junction
Dashcam footage has captured the moment a dump truck ploughed into a car, through an intersection and over a bridge.
The truck was filled with gravel when it failed to stop at the Austin, Texas junction last Friday morning.
After ramming into a car sitting at the lights, the truck driver carried on across the road, taking out three more cars before careening over the edge of the road.
Glen Bandel, who uploaded the video to Youtube, told KXAN that his wife had been waiting at the lights on Jester Boulevard when the dashcam in her car captured the events.
The driver of the truck said he did not know how the crash happened but insisted he checked the truck’s lights and brakes every week, the station reported.
Four patients were reportedly transported to hospital but their injuries were not life-threatening.
