One dead, three arrested following street brawl in Sydney's southwest

A man has died following a street brawl in Sydney's southwest leading to the arrest of three people including one who is in hospital under police guard.

Police from the Macquarie Fields Local Area Command were called to a Leigh Street home in Claymore around 9pm Monday night on reports a number of people were fighting.

A 33-year-old man was found unconscious and rushed to Campbelltown Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A crime scene was set up in the street with police and homicide detectives investigating the incident.

Two women, aged 32 and 33, were arrested and taken to Macquarie Fields police station where they assisted police with their investigation.

A 34-year-old man was also arrested and taken to the police station but later moved to hospital for treatment where he remains under police guard.
