Collision causes car engine to fly from vehicle into nearby petrol pump

A collision between two vehicles has caused part of an engine from one of the cars to fly from the crash like a missile - hurtling straight into a nearby petrol bowser.

Incredible CCTV footage has captured the moment the engine smashes through the petrol pump, forcing the bowser to twist 90 degrees.

The crash happened on the Albany Highway on Monday in North Bannister, Western Australia.
