One of the men that massacred 90 people at the Bataclan music venue in the November Paris attacks was reportedly buried in an unmarked grave on Christmas Eve.

Samy Amimour, who was one of three attackers killed when police stormed the music venue on November 13, was buried north of the city, local officials said Sunday.

The 28-year-old was buried on Thursday in Seine-Saint-Denis suburb of Paris, where he grew up and his parents still live.

"There were very, very few people there," said a source in the local town hall.

The burial on December 24 took place in the La Courneuve inter-communal cemetery after it was closed off to the public, Le Journal du Dimanche reports.

The hearse reportedly disappeared behind trees and concrete walls, and the ceremony was then held in secret.

Amimour's parents reportedly took precautions to make sure that the burial plot could not be identified, as authorities feared it could become either a shrine or a target of attacks.

French law gives individuals the right to a burial either in their area of residence, the area they died, or where their family has a collective plot.

Amimour, who was previously a bus driver before spending around two years in Syria, is believed to be the first of the attackers to be buried.

He had previously been charged with terror offences in 2012 over claims he had planned to go to Yemen.

He was placed under judicial supervision but then dropped off the radar, prompting authorities to issue an international arrest warrant, BBC reports.

It was later revealed he had travelled to Syria and evidently then slipped back in to France.

A total of 130 people were killed in the Islamist militant attacks in Paris in November.

Three other jihadists blew themselves up outside the Stade de France stadium, and another exploded his suicide vest outside a bar not far from the Bataclan.
