Police officer cops $1800 fine for assault on teen

A Police officer who was on duty when he struck a 13-year-old boy has avoided a criminal conviction.

Kevin Glass was found guilty of assaulting the teen at Rosebud Police Station in April, 2014.

The court heard the boy was in an interview room when Glass hit him and dragged him across the floor.

The assault was captured on CCTV.

The magistrate accepted the police officer’s actions may cost him his career and imposed a good behaviour bond and $1800 fine.
