Customers wrestle over cheap food at supermarket
Disturbing video has emerged of supermarket shoppers in the United Kingdom fighting on the floor for cheap food.
The footage shows grown men and women scrambling on top of one another after discounted meat was put out by staff at a Tescos store.
A bossy female attendant can be heard threatening to ‘take it all away’ when the crowd gets too rough.
Other patrons watch on in shock as the scuffle unfolds.
“I can’t believe this. I actually can’t believe this,” a man can be heard saying in the background.
Another woman labels the scrum ‘disgusting’ as she walks past.
The footage was uploaded to Facebook by Johnny Lester and has been viewed more than two million times.
While most users condemned the behaviour, others were more sympathetic.
“Unfortunately some people need to get what they can at a price they can afford and store it for a later date,” one user wrote.
“Is it really the people at fault or the system as a whole?” another added.
Tescos is yet to comment on the video.
