Boys go old school

The Karratha Clontarf Warlu's will be donning a new footy jumper for the rest of the season to align the strip with the Karratha Senior High School colours.

Karratha Clontarf director Beau McDonald said the jumpers represented a new identity for the boys at the academy.

"We wanted a new strip to represent a fresh start and strongly growing partnership with Karratha Senior High School," Mr McDonald said.

"The boys wanted to keep it simple with an old-school style footy jumper in the school colours navy and red.

"We hope the new jumpers give the boys a confidence boost out on the field. We can't wait to see them play in their new strips."

Karratha Senior High School principal Greg Kelly said the new strip reflected the strong growing partnership between the school and the Clontarf Academy.

"We have made some significant inroads into improving the attendance of the boys, the work they do and making them feel like an important and valued part of the school community," he said.

"I commend the boys for taking ownership over designing the new strip. We are very proud of their efforts on and off the field."
