Video reveals horror moment woman mowed down by ute

The terrifying moment a woman was mowed down by a ute speeding away at a petrol station has been caught on video, as police continue to investigate what led to the incident.

The video, uploaded to Facebook last night, shows a man behind the wheel of a Holden ute in a Woolworths petrol station in Southern River accelerating swiftly after what sounds like a heated argument with some bystanders.

The car hit the female bystander as it sped off, knocking her to the cement.

The woman can be heard screaming violently as her legs were her pinned to the ground underneath the wheels, as a man yelled that his 'missus' was run over.

“Police have a male in custody and inquires are ongoing,” A WA Police spokesman said.

The woman was taken hospital with injuries that are non-life threatening, News Corp reports.
