Jagger bounces back to rock Sydney

Mick Jagger bounced back from a throat infection to return to the stage with The Rolling Stones in Sydney.

The British rockers last week cancelled their Hanging Rock gig in Victoria on Saturday after the 71-year-old frontman fell ill.

The news sparked fears among fans that their Aussie tour had been derailed for a second time, after it was previously cancelled following the death of Jagger's girlfriend L'Wren Scott in March.

However, Jagger proved those concerns were unfounded by making a return to the stage on Wednesday night to perform at Sydney's Allphones Arena.

The band is due back on stage for a show in Hunter Valley, New South Wales on Saturday.
