Year 12 exams underway in SA

Thousands of South Australian students are putting pen to paper as the major Year 12 exams get underway.

Some 13,000 students will brave SACE exams over the next few weeks and while the pressure is mounting, experts have warned them to keep cool.

“The most important thing is to be confident in the work you’ve done, stay calm and look after yourself,” Susan Cameron from the Education Department said.

That means eating and sleeping well, getting regular exercise, sticking to a study plan, taking regular breaks and seeking help if needed.

Students are also reminded to keep the final exams in perspective, as they are only worth 30 per cent of the final grade, so most of the hard work has already been done.

Results will be out on December 18.
