Vic police seize items worth $250,000

Power tools and other property worth up to $250,000 have been seized by police as part of an investigation into burglaries in rural Victoria.

Ballarat Detectives searched eight properties on Tuesday after a six-month investigation into a spate of burglaries.

A 28-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both from Ballarat, have been taken into custody and are expected to be charged later on Tuesday.

Police are now trying to find the owners of the seized items, which include chainsaws and farming equipment.
