Home hit by two arson attacks in one night

A home in Adelaide’s northern suburbs has been hit by two arson attacks just hours apart.

A police patrol noticed the first fire in the home on Yorketown Rd at Elizabeth Park about 6.30pm yesterday.

It was burning in a front room and the roof of the house, and was soon put out by firefighters.

The MFS was again called to the property at 2am today after reports of another fire.

The second blaze was started in a different room to the first, and engulfed the home, causing extensive damage.

The damage bill after the first blaze was estimated at $100,000, but the home was gutted by the second with total damage estimated at $250,000.

Police believe both fires were deliberately lit.

No one was at home at the time of either blaze as the owner is overseas visiting family.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
