Students make a splash at carnival

Broome Senior High School held their annual Aqua Spectacular event last month.

Broome Senior High School held their annual Aqua Spectacular event on March 6 at Broome Recreational and Aquatic Centre.

A strong emphasis was placed on teamwork, co-operation and participation, with students rotating through various activities including swimming, slippery slide races, novelty games and volleyball playoffs.

Miller continued their winning streak again from last year and reigned supreme with an impressive 12,565 points.

Dampier came second with 10,980 points, while Reddell took third place with 9620, followed by Durack with 9240 points.

Staff congratulated all the participating students. Physical education teacher Tim Morton said it was great to see many students in attendance and participating enthusiastically.

"There were many stand-out individual performances and in the coming weeks selected students will travel to Derby to compete in the annual interschool swimming carnival."
