Henry's first Christmas

Sea World's biggest star has celebrated Christmas a few days early.

Henry the baby polar bear and his mum Liya got stuck into a pile of presents on the ice in his enclosure this morning.

Among the gifts were frozen fish, chocolate sauce and a watermelon, which Henry took for a swim.

"They don't often do the things that we suspect, we think they are going to do with the toys and food that we provide but they always surprise us," said polar bear keeper, Kerri Gaskin.

Henry is the first polar bear cub ever born in Queensland.

He's now seven and a half months old and gaining weight at more than 1 kilogram a day.
