Security puts stop on Lehmann

Australia suffered a hiccup to their preparations for the third Test when coach Darren Lehmann was prevented from entering the practice nets area.

Over-zealous WACA security guards would not let Lehmann enter the nets because he was not wearing correct identification.

Lehmann was forced to explain who he was before his identity was confirmed.

Selector Andy Bichel suffered the same fate.

Cricket Australia have taken over the running of each Test match from the State associations.

CA pays a guaranteed amount to the States as an effective lease fee for each Test venue.

Paceman Ryan Harris batted and bowled in the nets and is expected to be fit for the match that could decide the Ashes.

Harris pulled up stiff after the second Test.

England may retain spinner Monty Panesar but drop Graeme Swann to fit paceman Tim Bresnan into the team.
